canon EF-M 55-200Canon’s EF-M 55-200 mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM lens is designed for its EOS M cameras, and features advanced Stepping Motor Technology (STM) and a 3.5-stop optical Image Stabilizer.

Canon says the lens delivers outstanding levels of detail when shooting stills and movies. When shooting movies specifically, STM technology ensures smooth focus transitions, as focus shifts from one subject to another. The STM mechanism also provides near-silent focusing.

The lens offers a high quality metal exterior and is compact and lightweight.

An Ultra-low Dispersion (UD) element delivers outstanding image quality throughout the zoom range, Canon says. Furthermore, its non-rotating front element makes it easy to maintain a consistent effect when using filters and the full-time manual focus ring offers greater creative freedom to adjust focus during shooting.

Priced at $420.99, the EF-M 55-200 mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM will be available in July.
