Nikon has expanded its lineup of Coolpix cameras: 60x zoom P600 and 42x zoom P530 as well as the ultra-slim, 30x zoom S9700 and P340.
P600: Boasts a 60x Nikkor optical zoom (24-1440 mm equivalent) range, and can reach even further using Dynamic Fine Zoom. Lens Shift Vibration Reduction (VR) image stabilization helps reduce the effects of camera shake. With built-in Wi-Fi, users can share photos with family and friends by transferring images to a compatible smartphone or tablet and uploading them to their social networks.
The camera also sports a high-resolution 3.0-inch (7.5 cm) Vari-angle LCD display.
With a 16.1-megapixel backside illuminated (BSI) CMOS sensor, the P600 is capable of capturing detailed photos and Full HD (1080/60i) videos even in challenging lighting conditions, says the company. The P600 also offers full manual controls (P, S, A, M), an electronic viewfinder and improved battery life that allows up to 330 shots per charge.
New Moon and Bird Watching Scene modes make the most of the extreme zoom range.
P530: NIKKOR optics again, this time a 42x optical zoom with a 24-1000 mm range (equivalent) and Dynamic Fine Zoom that gets the user even closer, along with Lens Shift VR image stabilization, which helps minimize camera shake.
At the core of the P530 is a 16.1-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor that delivers photos and Full HD (1080/60i) videos.
The P530 includes full manual controls (P, S, A, M), 3.0-inch (7.5 cm) LCD monitor and a built-in electronic viewfinder. Users can share their creations with the optional WU-1a Wireless Mobile Adapter (sold separately).
S9700: With a 30x Nikkor optical zoom (25-750 mm equivalent) and 60x Dynamic Fine Zoom, it incorporates Lens Shift VR image stabilization.
Share instantly with built-in Wi-Fi by transferring images to a compatible smartphone or tablet and uploading them to social networks.
There’s also built-in GPS.
A 16-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor produces photos and Full HD 1080/60i videos. The S9700 also utilizes Hybrid VR image stabilization for stable video recording, even while handheld.
