Nikon has announced seven Coolpix cameras: L830, L330, S6800, S6700, S3600, S2800, and L30.
The L830 is a compact camera incorporating a 34X zoom lens, Full HD (1080p) video, 68X Dynamic Fine Zoom range, 16-megapixel backside illuminated (BSI) CMOS sensor, Lens-shift Vibration Reduction (VR) system and new Hybrid VR system, Easy Auto Mode and Smart Portrait System.
The camera also offers 18 scene modes and a bevy of special effects including Filter Effects and Skin Softening.
The L830 features a 3.0-inch Tilt-LCD, strategically placed menu buttons that are easy to navigate, and power from AA batteries.
The Coolpix L330 is equipped with a 26X optical zoom (22.5-585 mm equivalent), and a 20.2-megapixel sensor. Lens-shift VR technology reduces the effects of camera shake to ensure sharp results when shooting images or 720p HD videos.
The L330’s 3-inch LCD monitor produces a bright display, making it easier to view photos and apply camera settings, and the camera is powered by AA batteries.
With a versatile 12X optical zoom and 24X Dynamic Fine Zoom in a sleek, compact body, the S6800 features a 16-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, 18 scene modes and Target Finding AF, 3.0-inch LCD monitor, Advanced Glamour Retouch with four new functions, including Glare Reduction, Lipstick, Mascara and Eye Shadow.
The S6800 is also equipped with built-in Wi-Fi, allowing users to share their photos instantly through Nikon’s Wireless Mobile Adapter Utility application.
The S6700 features a 20.1-megapixel CCD sensor and a 10X optical zoom lens (25-250 mm equivalent), utilizing Dynamic Fine Zoom to increase zoom capability up to approximately 20X.
The camera offers one-touch video recording and VR technology to compensate for camera shake.
The S3600 has a compact body (approximately 19.9 mm thick) that fits easily into a pocket, 8X optical zoom and 16X Dynamic Fine Zoom, 20.1-megapixel CCD sensor, 18 scene modes, Smart Portrait System and Target Finding AF, plus 720p HD video with Hybrid VR.
The slim S2800 is an easy-to-use and stylish camera that sports a 20.1-megapixel CCD sensor and a 5X optical zoom Nikkor lens that covers the equivalent of 26-130 mm.
Built-in Glamour Retouch effects enable users to touch up images to achieve their desired look, including Skin Softening, Small Face, Big Eyes, Powder, Hide Eye Bags, Whiten Eyes, Whiten Teeth, and Redden Cheeks. There are four new effects: Eye Shadow, Lipstick, Glare Reduction and Mascara.
The easy-to-use 20.1-megapixel L30 has a 5x optical zoom, Easy Auto Mode, Smart Portrait System and Advanced Glamour Retouch, plus easy-to-hold grip and intelligent button layout.
The camera features a dedicated Movie button that lets the user record instantly, and operates on AA batteries.
The L830 is scheduled to be available in February at a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $279.95. It is available in black and red.
The L330 has an MSRP of $229.95 and is available in black.
The S6800 has an MSRP of $229.95 and is available in black and red.
The S6700 is scheduled to be available in February at an MSRP of $169.95 and is available in black and red.
The S3600 has an MSRP of $149.95 and is available in black and blue.
The S2800 has an MSRP of $119.95 and is available in black and red.
The L30 is also scheduled to be available in February, at an MSRP of $99.95, in black and red.
