The Hahnemühle paper mill in Dassel, Germany, has been producing quality artist’s papers since 1584. These days, that includes fine art inkjet products.
As an alternative to cotton, Hahnemühle Baryta FB is an Alpha Cellulose fibre-based paper, designed to appeal to the black & white darkroom enthusiast. This paper is dye and pigment ink compatible, and it’s great for archival use, says the company. The paper is 350 GSM and has a barium sulphate coating.
The paper works in all photo quality inkjet printers, and is said to last for generations. This paper is the newest offering in the company’s glossy lineup and was designed specifically for professional photographers specializing in B&W photography.
When compared to the other two “baryta” papers in the range (Photo Rag Baryta and FineArt Baryta), this paper is brighter white and has a smoother surface.
